What age is this app designed for?

The app is designed for parents introducing solid foods to infants from around 4 months to 18 months, covering the full weaning and allergen introduction period. It works for baby-led weaning (BLW), spoon-feeding, or any combination.

Question 2

Does the app store my baby's data on its servers?

Accepted Answer

No. Your data lives on your device by default. Baby Food & Allergy Tracker does not run sync or backup servers, and we cannot see your baby's data. Optional caregiver sharing uses your own Google Drive account so invited caregivers can contribute. Cloud backup and restore are planned but not currently available.

What does the PDF report include?

The PDF report includes a chronological food diary, a summary of all reactions with severity ratings, and an allergen introduction progress overview. It is designed to be a useful record for you and for you to share.

Question 4

Which allergens does the app track?

Accepted Answer

The app tracks all 14 major allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame. You can also add custom allergens for your family's specific concerns.

Why is a food in Avoid, Watch, In progress, or Logged OK?

Accepted Answer

Food Status is derived from saved logs, reactions, and allergen schedule status. A severe reaction places an item in Avoid. Mild or moderate reactions place it in Watch. Active allergen introduction windows show as In progress. Foods with logs and no recorded reactions, plus cleared allergens, appear as Logged OK.

Question 6

Does Logged OK mean my child is safe to eat that food?

Accepted Answer

No. Logged OK means no reaction is recorded in the app for that grouped food, or the allergen was marked cleared in the schedule. It is a record-keeping label, not a medical decision.

Question 7

Is it suitable for babies with diagnosed food allergies?

Accepted Answer

This app is a record-keeping tool and does not diagnose allergies. If you suspect your child has a food allergy, consult your paediatrician for evaluation.

What is the difference between Free and Premium?

Accepted Answer

The Free plan covers a single child with food logging and basic reaction tracking. Premium ($2.99/month or $24.99/year) adds the allergen introduction tracker, PDF export, caregiver sharing, and multi-child support.

Is this app compliant with child privacy regulations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Baby Food & Allergy Tracker does not run app data servers and cannot see your baby's data. Core app data stays on your device by default. If you enable optional caregiver sharing, shared data is stored in your own Google Drive account so invited caregivers can contribute.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. All logging and tracking works fully offline. There is no internet connection required for any core feature.

The app is available on the Apple App Store for iPhone. Android is coming soon.

Is this a medical tool?

Accepted Answer

No. This app is a food diary and record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose food allergies, provide medical advice, or replace consultation with a healthcare professional. If you have concerns about your child's health or suspect a food allergy, please consult your paediatrician or allergist. If your child is having a severe allergic reaction, call emergency services immediately.
